Paul Raymonde is one of Britain's leading caricaturists with more than 25 years experience. During this period he has contributed drawings to many major publications (Punch, Private Eye, Reader's Digest, Radio Times, Mail on Sunday and the Observer amongst dozens of others). Paul however specialises in on-the-spot caricaturing as a fascinating and unique form of entertainment. He is in great demand at parties, weddings, and all sorts of business functions where he delights his audience by drawing his charming and incisive caricatures of the guests.

Paul works sitting, standing, or circulating amongst the guests sketching them rapidly, head and cartoon body. He draws in ink and toned markers, which dry instantly onto 250 gsm velvet card and presents his drawings to your guests in a smart protective envelope.

On average he can produce up to 15 drawings per hour.

Whether it’s a special party or a wedding, a corporate function or a promotion, you will want to let your guests have something to remember both you and the occasion. Time permitting, if Paul is able to obtain your name or company logo in time, and any special message that you would like to give, he will prepare your own drawing paper, making each caricature a personalised souvenir of the event.

Paul Raymonde is also able to offer ‘Caricature Workshops’ as a group activity for company fun days or team building events. This is a genuinely engaging activity where participants learn how to draw caricatures of each other.

So many people say that they have no artistic ability whatsoever, yet are pleasingly surprised with themselves after this short enjoyable course, which lasts for about two hours and is carefully structured so that nobody feels left out.

After watching Paul demonstrate a simple but effective technique to achieve a likeness with exaggeration (using a volunteer model and a flip chart), participants will then be asked to draw (a second volunteer) along with Paul.

When everybody feels confident, the group is then split into units, which each take it in turn to draw or pose for each other. At this point Paul circulates amongst the group giving 1-2-1 tuition and helps participants.

The workshop is not only educational, informative and engrossing, but it also generates a great deal of hilarity and good natured banter.

The whole activity culminates with a group exhibition - hopefully providing decoration and amusement for days to come back at the office.

Paul’s group workshop is suitable for groups of up to approximately 40 people.
